Hillary is Our Choice for 2008

Well! I just ended a day of calling all over Texas to ask voters to support  Hillary this coming week.

I loved all the enthusiasm and excitement that they had for Hillary. It was great to share with so many people our reasons why Hillary should be President.  These are hard working Americans wanting to vote for Hillary as our next President. Some said they voted early and some were voting Tuesday.

Time and time again, when I tried to explain that just voting early or on March 4th only would give Hillary the opportunity to get her share of 2/3 of the delegates, they couldn't believe it. They heard about the caucuses but they have jobs, maybe two jobs. They had no rides to get back at 6:30p.m. My heart went out to these wonderful Americans who wanted their right to vote for the next president, but their candidate may come up short because they can't make a caucus.

It is unfortunate for Hillary Clinton and those who vote for her, that caucuses happen. Barack Obama I think has won over 20 and Hillary has won 2. This system of caucusing seems to work against the middle class hard working Americans. Obama seems to attract those who have time to spare and ability to be available for caucuses.
Wouldn't it be ironic for the man who says he is for change, says he is for the working class, benefits from those who cannot fully exercise their right to vote for the next President.

I pulled out an excerpt from the article that I gave a link to below.

But Obama strategists David Axelrod and Adrian Saenz note that Texas's complicated Democratic rules give them hope. About 40% of the Texas delegates will be picked in caucuses, and Sen. Obama has won nearly every caucus state to date given his proven grass-roots organizing edge. The remaining delegates are decided by a primary election.

Will things really change? As we can see by the excerpt above, the caucus does not benefit hard working middle class Americans.

Read this article that shows why caucuses have given a disproportionate amount of delegates to Senator Obama.
He has students, wealthy people who have all the time in the world to hang out in convention halls for caucuses
Hardly represents the working class of America and his strategist knows it
