As a Democrat, I see where Barack Obama is vulnerable. He was vulnerable in rural America to begin with. It is Hillary Clinton that has won in rural America. Below I have listed some state results that show how time in and time out, Barack Obama has only won in elite sections of the state, where the wealthiest live in a state and he's won the big cities. But, if you really look at each state map listed below, you'll see that Hillary Clinton wins rural America BIG TIME.
It has been documented that Senator Obama gets the wealthy, well-educated to vote for him and it shows below.
This can only add to the perception of a being an elitist.
Massachusetts
Where voters came from for Obama. As you can see from this map, knowing Massachusetts at all, the islands voted for Obama where the Kennedy's live and he won Boston, but Hillary Clinton got the rest of the state.
Your blue collar cities of Springfiedl, Worcester, Lowell, etc.

Rhode Island
Hillary Clinton got the blue collar cities of Providence, Cranston, Warwick. Barack Obama got just Newport RI. You can google Newport, RI and see that it is the wealthiest who live there.
